Download and install the ZIP

Get in touch to ask about access to the plugin ZIP. It is currently in limited distribution; WordPress.org directory submission is planned, but it is not listed there yet.

In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Choose the ZIP, select Install Now, then activate it. You need WordPress 6.0+ and PHP 7.4+.

💡 Repagio Tip

Do not unpack the ZIP before uploading it through WordPress. You do not need a Repagio account to scan your site.

Read your opportunities

On activation, the plugin scans every published post locally, with zero outbound requests. The dashboard shows total posts, posts never repurposed, total words and dormant words. Filter or sort the table to find a place to start.

A score reflects post length, number of headings, age and whether the post has been repurposed before. Each row explains the reason in plain language — for example, “2,400 words, well structured, never repurposed.” Posts shorter than 300 words always rank low because they are too thin to repurpose well.

Connect your Repagio account

Create a free Repagio account. In your Repagio dashboard, open Settings → API Keys, create a key and copy it when it appears. Keys are available on every plan, including free; the full key is shown only once.

Open the plugin’s Settings page in WordPress, paste your key and run Test Connection. Keep your key private. If you lose it, revoke it in Repagio Settings and create a new one.

Repurpose your first post

Choose a post from the opportunity table and click Repurpose. The plugin works one post at a time; there is no bulk action. Only the selected post content is sent to Repagio when you click.

In the modal, pick SEO Blog Post, LinkedIn Post, Twitter/X Thread or Email Newsletter. Choose Professional, Conversational, Authoritative, Casual or Inspirational tone. You can optionally set an SEO keyword for a blog post.

Generate, then review the result in the modal and copy it to your clipboard. Generation typically takes 20–45 seconds. The post is marked repurposed and the dashboard updates.

💡 Repagio Tip

The generation input must be at least 100 characters. If a post exceeds 50,000 characters, the plugin truncates it and warns you before generation.

Understand your quota

The plugin shows remaining generations. It shares the same quota as the Repagio web app: Free includes 2 lifetime generations, Creator 20 per month, and Pro and Agency unlimited. Pro and Agency also include brand voice matching and the more capable model. When you reach your limit, the plugin shows an upgrade prompt appropriate to your plan; scanning still works without an account or network connection.

Troubleshooting

Test Connection fails

Check that the complete key was pasted without spaces, that it has not been revoked, and that your WordPress host can make outbound HTTPS requests. If the key was lost, create a new one under Repagio Settings → API Keys.

A post is too short

Generation needs at least 100 characters of content. Posts under 300 words also score low in the scanner. Choose a longer post with more substance to repurpose.

Generation times out

Generation normally takes about 20–45 seconds. On a restrictive WordPress host, the request may time out before it finishes; ask your host about outbound HTTPS and PHP request time limits, then try the post again. A long post may be truncated to 50,000 characters with a warning.
